My journey, like so many others, begins with the need to understand my pet's nutritional needs for optimal animal wellness.
When Zoe was diagnosed with renal disease, the veterinarian recommended a special diet. I will always be grateful for her professional support. However, selecting healthy pet food that is nourishing, palatable, and accessible can be a challenge. Understanding how best to care for Zoe took me on a fascinating and sometimes scary journey to support her health and provide the best quality of life. Fast forward several years, and my latest rescue dog, Rosie, presented with multiple food allergies.
To help her, I had to educate myself about pet nutrition. I decided that the best way forward was to enroll in science-based nutritional programs and work closely with Dr. Patricia Guarjado.
My desire to strengthen the human-animal bond through nutrition is what motivates Fit Paw Nutrition. The pet food industry is enormous and ever-evolving, with products often sold based on marketing rather than on the quality of ingredients. It is my goal to help you navigate the pet food market, find the right product for your pet, and support you on your pet's journey toward better health.
